Hello, my name is Willa!
I've had the great honor of witnessing a lot of people's favorite moments and capturing those moments on camera.
While I am originally from China, I grew up in the PNW basically all my life. I went to Edmonds-Woodway High School and endured the IB program (#IBwarrior). After, I attended the University of Washington at the Michael G. Foster School of Business, studying marketing! I am a #collegegrad now. Unfortunately, that means I have to get a j*b... A girl is trying to mix corporate life with the best side hustle... Wish me luck!
Anyways, I started learning photography during the scary quarantine time mainly through YouTube videos. I bought my first camera by working at Pizza Hut, so I seriously recommend getting a part-time job in high school! I used to mainly do sports photography, but my brother asked me to do his senior photos, and everything changed for me. Thankfully, all my friends are super models, so I got so much practice. I've done a lot of growth since I've started, and I owe that all to the people who trusted me to take their photos and allow me the space to grow. Thank you all so much. I hope to get to know you during our session and be friends!
I'm a pretty big Swiftie! My favorite songs are Cowboy Like Me, Gold Rush, Foolish One, Peter, The Archer, Seven, Bigger Than The Whole Sky, Death By A Thousand Cuts, Would've Could've Should've, Now That We Don't Talk, Delicate, New Year's Day, and Illicit Affairs. I'm not a huge concert goer usually, but I definitely struck gold when my friend, a Ticket Master master, got us a FAB deal. Even from the nose bleeds, the show was fabulous! Just know that I will be listening to her songs on the drive there and back from our shoot, and lyrics may occasionally slip out of my mouth...
When I'm not out with you all, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I live at a house with many cats -- the best pet animal to ever exist! I am very grateful for the people that support me as they afford me motivation, support, and advice through all my goals. My friends really supported me in the beginning of my photography journey, and I appreciate them all the time. I truly believe you should surround yourself with the best people possible; I hope I can be that person for you during our shoot.
Though I'm not much of a traveler (#expensive), I have had some great opportunities to spread my mind and soul in different areas of the world. I've visited some of the states, Canada, Italy, and the UK. I was born in China originally, so I hope to visit again sometime in my future. I wish for everyone to get the opportunities to experience new parts of the world as I am grateful that I am able and granted that blessing.
